Abstract:
SEAI, the Irish National Sustainable Energy Authority, found that homeowners were comfortable installing low cost measures to complete shallow energy retrofits of their homes but were less likely to invest in a more comprehensive energy upgrade. Consumer research identified that this hesitancy sprung from a lack of certainty about what to do, and a lack of confidence of who to contract to manage and quality assure the full project. From analysis of these concerns, and from listening to the supply chain issues, the One Stop Shop was born.
