Introducing a new toolkit to apply behavioural insights to energy policy

Abstract:

Reducing energy demand is key to a successful energy transition. Policy is needed to help overcome barriers and the behavioural sciences can play a bigger role in making it more effective. On the webinar, Jesper Akesson and Ondrej Kacha (Task Leaders of the Users TCP Behavioural Insights Platform) will launch a new toolkit designed for policymakers working on demand-side energy issues. The toolkit – designed as a simple website – helps policymakers apply insights from behavioural science and become more successful in encouraging citizens to adopt greener technologies, develop energy-efficient habits, and shift to more sustainable means of transport. The toolkit will be made freely available after the webinar.
